Visit to Mimi & Papa’s

We had the last week off from work, we originally had plans to go with friends and my parents to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico but we cancelled our trip due to the Zika virus.  My OB advised against travel to any country that the CDC has listed for the Zika virus.  Mexico will always be there, we definitely do not want to take any chances with the new baby.

We spent the week off getting a lot of stuff done around the house and we went over to Central Washington to visit my parents for a few days.  My Mom takes care of our girls for two weeks of every month, but my Dad doesn’t get to spend a lot of time with the girls and they love having us visit them at home.  We visited a few parks and enjoyed some of my parents delicious cooking!

The girls had so much fun and are really growing up, we spent time with my friend who has two kids older than Jemma and Zoe and they love playing with older kids!

I’m still feeling great, minimal pregnancy symptoms, I had an OB exam last week and heard baby’s heartbeat on the Doppler, sounded nice and strong!  We already have our 20 week anatomy scan ultrasound scheduled for early June…..half way through, eek!

Happy Hump Day!

xoxo

  1. Hi Nikki,

The pictures of your entire family are WONDERFUL. The girls are adorable!! I haven’t been on email or Facebook lately, so I just found out that you are pregnant. YAY!!! Do you know if you are having a boy or girl? If I remember correctly, I don’t think you revealed this information prior to Jemma and Zoe’s birth, so maybe we have to wait for this information. Maybe you just didn’t introduce them by name before they were born. I can’t remember. In any event, I am thrilled for you and Zach!!!

  2. Im glad to hear you enjoyed your holidays! Your girls are getting so big and even cuter. I bet your parents were super excited 🙂 I had my mom visiting us for a short time until yesterday too and I had a great time. Its so nice to see our babies bond with our parents isn’t it? 🙂
I hope you get to visit Mexico after your new baby arrives 😉

  3. I commented on this post yesterday but maybe it didn’t go through since I didn’t use the WordPress app but wrote on regular browser.
Your girls are getting even cuter (how is it possible?😘) and you look beautiful too!! I am sure your parents were so happy to have you all over! I had my mom here for a short time last week and it was so nice to have my mom and my boys together everyday. I miss her now😭
I hope you can go to Mexico with all your family once your new baby is born💞

    • Oh, thank you so much, you’re so sweet! Yes, my parents love when we visit, I’m sure you love having your Mom visit from Japan. How often do you see her? Mexico will always be there, it would be nice to all go eventually. What part of Canada are you in? BC is close to us and we love visiting Vancouver!

      • My mom used to visit me in Canada every other year and I used to go back to Japan every three years but since the boys were born, my mom has visited me three times already so maybe every six months or so 🙂
I love having her here! I wish my dad could come visit here more too… but his work is too busy 😦

We live close to Vancouver. I will DM you on IG later 😉 I would love to meet up with you guys one day!!!
